Q). Where is Heart of Portsmouth Boxing Academy?

A). St Luke's Sports Centre, Greetham Street, Portsmouth, PO5 4HL.

Q). How much is the session fees?

A).Juniors - £2 per session (if you claim income support, you may qualify to have your sessions funded) Seniors - £4 per session or £8 per week.

Q). My son is 6yrs old and wants to do boxing, is he to young?

A). He is too young to do competitive boxing; however he can attend the minnow's session (5yrs to 8yrs olds) on a Monday and Wednesday 4pm - 5pm contact ABA Coach/Boxing Tutor George Dodd on 07771 151911.

Q). My Daughter is 11, can she box competitively?

A).Yes, I recommend you bring her to the female only session on a Thursday 6pm - 7pm or alternatively junior session's 5pm - 6pm on Monday & Wednesday.

Q). I want to take the GB National Boxing Awards, what should I do?

A). Click here to goto the downloads section of the Boxing Awards website. Click the 'Boxing Awards Order Form', print form and order Non Contact Student Booklet. Then bring the book and certificates to the Boxing Academy and we will take you for the GB National Awards programme.

Q). How do I get my child on the Heart of Portsmouth Boxing Academy 'holiday camps (5 to 16yrs)'?

Q). What do I need to bring to the Heart of Portsmouth Boxing Academy training session?

A).
- Subs (Money for your club fees)
- Training top and shorts - Trainers or Boxing Boots
- Warm clothing for after the training session
- Wash kit and towel (if you want to shower after session)
- Water Bottle (to keep hydrated throughout the session)
- Skipping Rope (optional the academy has a skipping ropes)
- Leather Boxing Gloves (optional the academy has gloves)
- Head guard (optional, the Academy has head guards)
- Bandages or wraps (ideally the adidas wraps or any local sports shop will sell on line)
