Q). Who can deliver the National Boxing Awards?
A).An ABA Boxing Tutor can deliver the first three of the National Awards in Youth Clubs, Schools, Colleges and Universities etc.
An ABA Boxing Coach can deliver all six of the National Awards but the 'contact' part of the Award must be delivered in a Boxing Gym.
Q). Who is the GB Boxing Tutor Course for?
A).The course is for Boxing Coaches who wish to broaden their knowledge in teaching young people and wish to encourage more young people into their Boxing Gym or wish to teach boxing in schools, or wish to learn about the GB National Boxing Awards or active boxers wishing to assist in the boxing club or someone who works with young people i.e. PE Teachers, Youth workers, Club volunteer's, School Sports Coaches, Personal Trainers, and anyone wishing to gain a qualification in Amateur Boxing. An Introduction Letter template has been created to assist Boxing Tutors. You'll find it in the 'Downloads' part of this website, under miscellaneous.
Q). How do I learn how to deliver the GB National Boxing Educational Qualification in schools or working from my Boxing Club?
A).Go to the 'Downloads' page and click on the GB National Boxing Educational Course nearest to you for an application form to book onto a course.
Q). How do I find out more information about the ASDAN Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) qualification?
A).Click on Boxing Awards page then click CoPE Boxing Qualification. To download the ABA National Educational Qualification criteria, please go to 'Downloads' page, and print the GB National Educational Qualification Criteria. Q). How do I place an order for the Boxing Tutor Instructional DVD?
A).Just goto the downloads section and click on the Course Booklets & Boxing Tutor DVD order form.
Q). Will I need a Criminal Records Bureau check (CRB)?
A).You will need to have a Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) check prior to running the GB Boxing Awards programme.
Q). How do I place an order for Booklets/Certificates?
A).Easy, just goto the downloads section and click on the Course Booklets Order Form.
Q). How much do the Boxing Tutor courses cost?
A).The cost of course is £100 + VAT, including registration up until 1st July yearly. On completion of course you will receive the following: ABA Boxing Tutor Registration Booklet. ABA Boxing Tutor T-shirt, ABA Boxing Tutor DVD, ABA Boxing Tutor Guide, ABA Coach/Tutor Non Contact Booklet, Student Non Contact Booklet, Student Semi Contact Booklet, ABA Semi Contact Booklet (ABA Coaches only).
Please note, Registered ABA Boxing coaches, will not need to pay the registration fee as they will already be registered with the ABA for the season therefore cost of course is £90.00 for a registered ABA Coach. ABA Coaches must bring their in date stamped registration coaching book/ID.
Q). How do I organise a boxing tutor course in my area?
A).Go to downloads page and click on Requirements of a Boxing Tutor Course Organiser.
Q). How do I order equipment?
A).Boxing Awards recommended equipment, can be obtained at discounted price from the Boxing Awards website. Goto the downloads section and click on the Adidas Boxing Equipment Order Form. The recommended gloves for the participants taking the awards are listed on the form.
Skipping Ropes, log on to British Heart Foundation website www.bhf.org.uk. Order skipping ropes online at a very good price.
Q). Do I need insurance?
A).Yes. Ensure you have insurance cover prior to delivering the awards log onto www.sportscoachuk.org or ring 00132 907612 for further information.
You will also need to be First Aid Qualified prior to delivering the boxing awards. The one day first aide courses are taught all over the country www.redcross.org.uk.

A).To order the ABA Boxing Awards Medals for the ABA Boxing Awards Presentation call 02392 695652 or email victorytrophies@hotmail.com.
Q). I want to take the National Boxing Awards?
A).Order your non contact student boxing book from the download page (Course Booklets Order Form). Then go to your local, Boxing gym or where an ABA Boxing Tutor is delivering in a college, university, school or a youth club/sports centre.

Q). How much is the ABA Boxing Tutor Registration Fee?
A).The Registration Fee is £20 and MUST be returned with the application form to the Boxing Awards Office, the address will be on the form. Please enclose two Passport Size Photographs.
